Michelle & Blake

A couple that are in perfect harmony while making plans for their upcoming wedding. In the time that I spent with them it was obvious why they are so perfect together; She is vivacious and free-spirited and he is calm and smooth. A perfect balance. They are planning an outdoor wedding surrounded by family, friends, home, tradition, and nature.
Meet Michelle and Blake.....

Andy & Karoliina

She is from Finland; he is from Michigan. They met through a friend while Karoliina was working as an Au pair here in the States. On June 14th they were married in a storybook setting in Andy's parents garden. It was an unforgettable celebration and I was fortunate to be there as a guest. Here are a few images that I have to share...

Back to Nature

My babies turned 3 last weekend!! We hosted a "Back to Nature" party and had the local nature center (http://www.howellnaturecenter.org/) come out and talk to the kids about some of their rescue mammals. They even brought along a couple of owls, a ferret, a bunny and a skunk for the kids to see and pet! A much deserved Thank You to Kathy from the Nature Center for being so patient with all the little ones with very short attention spans! We had a great time with all of our friends and family and the boys had a great birthday! I think I was more excited then the kids to see this baby owl, he was beautiful!!
Colin thought the whole thing was funny! I love his laugh more than anything in the world!
How can something that's so stinky be so cute????
Devon just wanted to get to the cupcakes!
And finally, what is a party without their Best Friend Katie?!

Stacey & David

David and Stacey met the first semester of their freshman year in college. He was the captain of an intramural soccer team that she just happened to join. All being new to school, the people on the soccer team hung out on a regular basis. Within a few weeks, David and Stacey began to hang out alone and less than a month later, officially started dating. 3 years later, in the fall of their senior year of college, David asked Stacey to marry him. They will be wed on August 1, 2008 and I am so excited to be a part of their big day!

Joyce & Nick

What is going on with Michigan weather? A black cloud set in moments before we shot Joyce and Nick's engagement, then miraculously the sun came out and I can honestly say I think it was one of the hottest days possible! They were troopers though and truly great to work with! Engagement shoots are a great way for me to get to know my clients, it makes working together on the wedding day so much more comfortable! I love the relationships that are formed during this time together, it makes it so much more emotional for me on the wedding day and the images I'm able to capture as a result seem to be more from the heart. Joyce and Nick posses this sweet innocence and it is so refreshing! Here are a few images that caught my eye from their engagement session last week...
